One man dies in crash at Quebec's Sanair race track

Quebec provincial police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Friday evening at the Sanair race track in SaintPie, Quebec, in the Montérégie region.
Police said a vehicle lost control during a street drag racing event at the closed track shortly after 9 p.m. Two men were inside the car at the time. The passenger, a man in his 40s, died, while the driver, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash. The incident is the second death at Sanair in less than a year, following a separate fatal crash last August.
