Some tattoo parlours on Granville Street in Vancouver say FIFA World Cup crowds have increased walkin traffic and sparked requests for soccerthemed designs. The shops are located near B.C. Place, where the city is hosting tournament matches. At Rocky Mountain Tattoo, manager Vince Sabrino said the World Cup has helped bring in more customers, with requests including soccer balls, maple leaves and designs linked to fans’ home countries. He said the shop has seen a noticeable rise in walkins since the tournament began. Nearby, Adrenaline VanCity owneroperator David Nixon said the shop has also seen more business and has stayed open later to serve fans downtown. He said one customer even got a tattoo celebrating Canada’s 60 win over Qatar, and the shop is offering free tattoos to Canada players.
