Trial of man accused of killing his daughter continues in New York

The trial of Luciano Frattolin is entering its second week in New York, where he is accused of killing his nineyearold daughter, Melina Frattolin, last summer during a trip.
Frattolin, who is from Montreal, faces charges of seconddegree murder and concealment of a human corpse. He has pleaded not guilty and has been held without bail since his arrest in July 2025.
Court testimony is expected to continue Wednesday, with prosecutors preparing to call their final witnesses. On Tuesday, a forensic scientist with the New York State Police said blood was found on the jacket Melina was wearing when she died, but did not identify whose blood it was.
