Quebec’s main party leaders are intensifying their campaigns with the provincial election only days away. On Thursday, several leaders focused on ridings expected to be closely contested as they tried to strengthen their support.
Parti Québécois Leader Paul StPierre Plamondon is pushing for a majority government, arguing that polls show his party in front and that a stronger mandate would help deliver change. He also appealed to undecided voters, saying his party is best positioned to act on that message.
Québec solidaire spokesperson Ruba Ghazal cautioned voters against strategic voting and encouraged them to vote based on their own priorities. Quebecers are scheduled to vote on Oct. 5.
