Stocks move after earnings for SpaceX, AMD, Pinterest and others
After-hours stock movers: earnings, guidance and AI spending drove sharp swings. See why AMD, Arista, Pinterest and others jumped or fell after the close.
Several largecap companies saw sharp afterhours moves on Tuesday as investors reacted to quarterly earnings and guidance updates.
SpaceX fell after reporting secondquarter revenue above estimates but also disclosing higher capital spending tied to artificial intelligence. AMD slipped even though its results were slightly ahead of expectations, while Arista Networks rose after beating estimates and issuing stronger guidance. Pinterest declined after its thirdquarter outlook matched roughly in line with Wall Street forecasts.
Other notable movers included Wynn Resorts, which gained after topping earnings and revenue estimates, and Teradata, which dropped after its profit outlook came in below consensus. Booking Holdings, Astera Labs, DaVita and Kratos Defense also traded on the back of quarterly results and guidance.
