Shares of several companies moved sharply before the market opened Wednesday, with semiconductor names, retailers, and industrials among the most active.
Cerebras fell after its first earnings report since going public in May showed a quarterly loss and weaker gross margin guidance. FedEx also declined despite reporting strongerthanexpected fiscal fourthquarter results, while Micron recovered in premarket trading ahead of its earnings release later in the day.
Other notable movers included memorychip companies such as Sandisk, Western Digital, and Seagate, which rose after Tuesday's techdriven selloff. KB Home gained after revenue topped estimates, Worthington Enterprises dropped on weakerthanexpected results, and Wendy's advanced as the stock drew heavy attention on Reddit and remained highly shorted. Arm Holdings rose after analyst pricetarget increases, and TakeTwo Interactive climbed ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6 presales.
