White House posts another video aimed at Katy Perry
White House TikTok video featuring Katy Perry reignites controversy over song use See why the latest post drew fresh backlash after Perry criticized the earlier clip
The White House has posted another TikTok video featuring Katy Perry after she criticized the administration for using her song "Firework" in a clip about U.S. military strikes against Iran.
The new post uses footage from Perry’s 2012 video for "Part of Me," including scenes of her in militarystyle clothing. The video also includes images of Donald Trump, military personnel and fighter jets, and is captioned with a lyric from the song.
A White House aide also shared the video on X and directly tagged Perry. The exchange follows Perry’s public criticism of the earlier post, which she said she did not approve. The original video was later removed, and Perry has not commented on the latest one.
