Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal collision in Kawartha Lakes, Ont., after a car and four motorcycles were involved in a crash on Saturday evening.
Police said emergency crews were called to Highway 7 and New Heights Road around 6 p.m. The driver of the passenger vehicle, an 18yearold man from Peterborough, and two motorcyclists, ages 72 and 65, were killed. Two other motorcyclists were injured, including one who was airlifted to hospital and later discharged after treatment, and another who was treated at the scene.
Investigators have not determined the cause of the crash. Police said the roadway was closed for several hours while they examined the scene, and they are asking anyone with information to come forward.
