Peel police say four people have been arrested in connection with an alleged firearm trafficking network that investigators say was tied to 14 shootings across the Greater Toronto Area. Police said the undercover investigation ran from October 2025 to July 2026 and involved the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Officers seized 23 firearms, more than 950 rounds of ammunition and just over 820 grams of cocaine. The accused include three men from Scarborough, Mississauga and Toronto, and a woman from Ajax. They face a combined 57 charges related to firearms and ammunition trafficking, failure to comply with a release order and drug trafficking. Police said one recovered gun was linked to a March 2024 homicide in Mississauga. They also said 15 of the seized firearms came from the United States, underscoring the crossborder flow of illegal weapons into the region.
