U.S. and China reach limited trade agreements, Greer says

U.S.-China trade talks advance with new agreements on key goods See which products may get better terms as tariff risks remain

U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said Friday that the United States and China have reached agreements on a limited set of goods as trade talks continue between the two largest economies. Greer said the areas covered include some U.S. agricultural products and medical devices, along with Chinese consumer goods that are considered nonsensitive. He said the goal is to allow certain items to trade on more favorable terms and possibly shield them from future tariff disputes. The Trump administration plans to provide more details on Monday about what the two sides have accomplished in recent weeks.
