Six people from Ontario and Quebec are facing charges after an 18month RCMP investigation into suspected money laundering and drug trafficking in the HamiltonNiagara area.
Police said they carried out more than 30 search warrants at several locations and seized 153 kilograms of cocaine, 10 kilograms of heroin, half a kilogram of ketamine, nearly $1.6 million in Canadian cash, a prohibited firearm and a vehicle.
The RCMP said the estimated value of the drugs seized was more than $4.4 million. One suspect remains outstanding, and an arrest warrant has been issued for drugrelated charges.
