Apple has unveiled Siri AI at WWDC 2026, describing it as a rebuilt assistant that can hold multiturn conversations, use information from apps such as Mail, Messages and Photos, and complete actions across devices and applications. The company said the new system is powered by Apple Foundation Models developed with help from Google and the Gemini family of models. Apple presented the collaboration as part of its privacyfocused AI approach, while acknowledging that the assistant depends on outside model technology. The rollout will be limited at first. Apple plans an Englishonly beta later this year, with China excluded because of regulatory issues and EU availability delayed on iPhone and iPad at launch. Apple said it is working on a path forward for those regions, but did not give a timeline for additional languages.
