A woman who was pulled from the water after a fishing charter vessel sank off the coast of Richmond, British Columbia, has died in hospital, Richmond RCMP said Wednesday.
The vessel, the KingFisher, went down suddenly near Roberts Bank on June 28. Ten people were aboard, including eight guests, the operator, and another person helping the operator.
Four people were rescued from the water. Three survivors have since been discharged from hospital, while six others remain missing and are presumed drowned. Police said the sunken vessel was later found about 153 metres below the surface, but conditions prevented a full search of the interior. Investigators are still working to determine what happened.
