Health Canada wins injunction against unauthorized peptide seller
Health Canada injunction stops Canlab Research from selling unauthorized peptides See why regulators warn these injectable drugs pose serious health risks
Health Canada has obtained a permanent injunction against Quebecbased online retailer Canlab Research, stopping the company from selling unauthorized injectable peptides in Canada.
According to the agency, the retailer had been offering peptide drugs on several websites and promoting them with health claims that were not supported by evidence, even after repeated enforcement actions.
Health Canada said the injunction bars Canlab Research and its representatives from manufacturing, testing, distributing, selling, or advertising these products, including through websites or social media accessible from Canadian IP addresses. The agency has previously warned consumers that unauthorized peptides can pose serious health risks and should only be sold as authorized prescription drugs.
