OpenAI expands ways to buy ChatGPT ads
ChatGPT ads pilot expands with self-serve tools, CPC bidding, and better tracking Create campaigns faster while keeping ads separate and privacy-first in ChatGPT
OpenAI said it is expanding its ChatGPT ads pilot with new buying options for advertisers, including partnerbased access and a beta selfserve Ads Manager for businesses in the US. The update is aimed at making campaigns easier to create and manage while keeping ads separate from ChatGPT’s answers and preserving user privacy.
The company is also adding costperclick bidding, after previously using costperthousandimpressions pricing in the pilot. OpenAI said CPC should give advertisers a way to pay more directly for user engagement, while still supporting CPM buying for those who prefer it.
OpenAI also introduced more measurement tools, including Conversions API and pixelbased tracking, to help advertisers understand outcomes such as purchases, signups, and leads. The company said the broader ad platform is still early in development and will continue to grow with additional formats, objectives, and partner integrations.
