Meta launches Muse Image AI model

Meta has released Muse Image, a new artificial intelligence model for generating images, as it tries to attract creators, advertisers, and subscribers across its apps and services.
The model, developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs under Alexandr Wang, is available in the Meta AI app and website, as well as through WhatsApp direct messages and Instagram Stories. While basic use is free, heavier use and some features require one of Meta’s new monthly subscription plans.
Meta also plans to use Muse Image in advertiser tools tied to its Advantage Plus service, allowing brands to create ad variations more efficiently. The company said it will roll out the feature more broadly in the coming weeks and later expand access to Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Meta is also working on a separate AI video model called Muse Video.
