Airbnb has entered a new agreement that gives its engineering and product teams broader access to OpenAI frontier models, including GPT6 Astra. The company is using these tools through OpenAI APIs and Amazon Bedrock.
The expansion builds on Airbnb’s existing use of Codex and other OpenAI models. According to the post, Airbnb engineers already use AI assistants to help write software, find bugs, design systems, and develop remote AI agents.
OpenAI said Airbnb is also using its models in areas beyond coding, including search, fraud prevention, guest and host support, and insurance claims. The companies say the technology is helping Airbnb move ideas into production more quickly as it adds more services to its platform.
