HP expands OpenAI Frontier use across enterprise operations
HP expands OpenAI Frontier across operations for faster coding, security, and workflows See how HP uses AI agents to boost efficiency, automate support, and speed fixes
HP has broadened its use of OpenAI Frontier across global operations to streamline enterprise workflows, with early trials showing gains in software engineering and cybersecurity work.
The company began testing the platform in February 2026 and says the rollout now supports tasks such as code review, bug fixing, research, and internal workflow automation. HP also separates different model types for different jobs, using ChatGPT for broader knowledge work and Codex for developmentrelated tasks.
Beyond engineering, HP is applying the system across its partner portal and device management tools. The company says AI agents are helping handle partner requests, analyse fleet telemetry, and support IT teams with faster diagnosis and remediation of device issues. HP frames the deployment as part of a broader effort to improve efficiency while keeping access, permissions, and review controls in place.
