Terrace starts zoning review for future data centres

According to a report to council, Terrace has already seen interest in large computing projects, including AI processing and cryptocurrency mining. Officials said these facilities can require substantial land, power and water, and council members discussed whether they should be banned, restricted to certain industrial areas, or allowed under specific limits. The public will have a chance to weigh in if the bylaw is changed.
