Analysts say Bitcoin may have already bottomed near $58,000
Bitcoin cycle bottom may already be near $58,000 after two capitulation waves See why onchain signals and holder behavior could support an early rebound
Onchain analyst James Check says Bitcoin may have already formed its cycle bottom around $58,000 after two separate capitulation events, suggesting the market may have absorbed much of the recent selling pressure.
Bitcoin reached a record above $126,000 in October 2025 and was trading around $77,400 at the time of the report, about 39% below that peak. Some traders had expected a deeper decline later in 2026 based on the fouryear cycle, but Check argued that price action and holder behavior point to an earlier bottom.
Check said the June and July range around $58,000 represented a period of “timepain capitulation,” while a February drop toward $60,000 reflected “pricepain capitulation.” He added that longterm holders now control a large share of Bitcoin wealth, which could make them less likely to sell after a modest rebound. Grayscale researcher Zach Pandl separately said he also sees $58,000 as a possible bottom, though onchain data still shows a mixed picture.
