Surrey police are investigating a shooting early Thursday morning at a home in the South Newton area that they believe is linked to extortion. The house is owned by Cricket Canada president Arvinder Khosa and was also shot at on May 20.
Police said officers responded just after 4 a.m. near 57 Avenue and 148 Street. The home was occupied at the time, but no one was injured.
Investigators said the case is in its early stages, but they are treating it as extortionrelated because of earlier threats and the previous shooting. Surrey police have also asked the public to share any CCTV or dashcam footage that could help identify the suspects.
