Kato Kaelin Backs Spencer Pratt in Los Angeles Mayoral Race

Kato Kaelin, known for his role as a witness in the O.J. Simpson murder trial, is supporting Spencer Pratt’s run for Los Angeles mayor. Kaelin said Pratt could bring needed change to city leadership and criticized Mayor Karen Bass for her response to the 2025 wildfires. Kaelin said he supported Rick Caruso in the 2022 mayoral race and now sees Pratt as a candidate who could disrupt the status quo. He also said he relates to Pratt because both have faced public criticism tied to their fame. Pratt, a former reality TV star, is running as an independent and will face Bass and City Councilwoman Nithya Rahman in the primary. The top votegetters will advance to the November election unless one candidate wins outright with more than half the vote.
