Quebec City police investigate homicide after man found dead in home

Quebec City police say a 21yearold man found dead inside a home in the SaintJeanBaptiste neighbourhood on Friday was killed. Officers responded to a residence on StGabriel Street as part of an investigation led by the force's urban violence unit with support from the tactical intervention group. Police said the man was found after officers entered the home and was pronounced dead at the scene. The death was first described as suspicious, but evidence collected there led investigators to classify it as a homicide. A mobile command post was set up in the area on Saturday. Police are asking anyone with information to contact 911 if immediate help is needed.
