Anthropic introduces Claude Tag for Slack teams
Claude Tag brings async AI work to Slack with shared context and tool access Beta for Enterprise and Team, it helps teams delegate tasks with admin controls
Anthropic has introduced Claude Tag, a new way for teams to delegate work to Claude inside Slack. The beta feature lets users tag @Claude in selected channels and connect it to approved tools, data sources, and codebases so it can help complete tasks asynchronously.
The company says Claude Tag is designed for collaborative work, with shared channel context, task planning, and optional proactive updates when ambient mode is enabled. Anthropic says the system can also learn from channel activity over time, while remaining scoped to the permissions set by administrators.
Claude Tag is available now in beta for Claude Enterprise and Team customers, and it replaces the existing Claude in Slack app. Anthropic says administrators can control access, spending limits, and task logs, and that the tool works with Opus 4.8.
