Twin brothers Tyson and Jalen Philpot will face each other on Saturday when the Montreal Alouettes host the Calgary Stampeders in a matchup between two of the CFL’s highestscoring teams.
Tyson Philpot, a receiver for Montreal, has started the season strongly and leads the league in receptions and receiving yards. Jalen Philpot has also been productive for Calgary, giving quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. another important target in an offence that has scored heavily in recent weeks.
The game carries a family element as relatives are expected to attend, but both players and coaches say the focus is on the team result. Montreal enters the game with a 31 record after a bye week, while Calgary comes in at 22 after backtoback wins and a run of highscoring performances.
