Ariana Grande sues hackers over leaked unreleased music

Ariana Grande has filed a lawsuit in California accusing hackers of stealing and selling her unreleased music, photos, and video footage for years. The complaint says the alleged campaign targeted the accounts and devices of people who worked with her, including photographers, producers, and other collaborators. According to the lawsuit, the hackers gained access to private materials and sold them online, including on the dark web. Grande’s filing says 45 unreleased songs were leaked in 2023 alone and that similar breaches have happened repeatedly since her debut. The court filing describes several alleged incidents stretching back to 2019, including stolen Dropbox login details, a hacked producer’s phone, and a 2024 phishing attempt involving a digital technician. The case is also being used to try to identify the people behind the breaches. Grande is currently preparing to release a new album and is on tour, with upcoming Canadian shows in Montreal.
