Laval Mayor Stéphane Boyer brain tumour diagnosis: updates on his health See what he said about staying in office while reducing his public schedule
Laval Mayor Stéphane Boyer says he has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and will reduce his public schedule while continuing to serve in office.
Boyer said in a social media post on Monday that he feels well and still has the energy and ability to do his job, but he plans to focus more on his health.
He said the tumour is a meningioma, a usually slowgrowing type of tumour, and that the diagnosis followed months of headaches and vision problems. Boyer said he is waiting for upcoming appointments with a neurosurgeon to learn what happens next.
