A sixyearold child has died after being found unconscious in a residential swimming pool in Quebec City.
Police said they were called to a home in the Charlesbourg borough shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. First responders began resuscitation efforts at the scene before the child was taken to hospital in critical condition.
On Friday morning, police confirmed the child had died in hospital. Investigators said the circumstances of the incident are still unclear and the case remains under investigation.
