Quebec and Alberta have agreed to work together on using artificial intelligence in public administration, according to a plan announced Tuesday by provincial ministers.
Quebec cybersecurity and digital technology minister FranceÉlaine Duranceau and Alberta technology and innovation minister Nate Glubish said the fiveyear agreement is focused on sharing knowledge rather than exchanging money.
The provinces say they want to use their combined expertise to make government operations more efficient, with Alberta highlighting its AI work as a way to speed up services and lower costs.
