Humber Polytechnic students join mass casualty response drill

Humber Polytechnic emergency-response simulation gave students hands-on drill experience Practice vehicle extraction, patient care and dispatch skills while systems are tested

Students at Humber Polytechnic took part in a large emergencyresponse simulation on Saturday in Toronto. The exercise was designed to look like a serious incident, but it was a training drill. The scenario included a mock vehicle crash. Participants practised vehicle extraction, patient care, and emergency dispatch as part of the exercise. The simulation was meant to give students handson experience in responding to major emergencies and to test how different parts of the response system work together.
