Kristi Noem joins advisory team at B.C. mining company
Kristi Noem joins NovaRed Mining as strategic adviser for critical minerals Tap into her government and security expertise as the company expands AI-led projects
Former U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has taken on a strategic advisory role with Vancouverbased NovaRed Mining, a British Columbia mineral exploration company.
The company said Noem will help support its efforts to identify and advance critical mineral projects using its artificial intelligencebased technology platform. NovaRed said her background in government, regulation, infrastructure, and national security will be useful as it pursues new business opportunities.
Noem was moved out of her Homeland Security role in March after 13 months and later named special envoy for the Shield of the Americas by U.S. President Donald Trump. Her tenure drew criticism over immigration enforcement and spending at the department.
