Pearson Airport warns about inaccurate AI-generated articles
Toronto Pearson Airport warns of AI-generated travel misinformation Get accurate flight updates from official airport sources, not clickbait sites
Toronto Pearson Airport is cautioning travellers about a growing number of AIgenerated articles that it says contain inaccurate details about its operations.
A spokesperson for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority said some automated writers are producing large volumes of posts with false figures, little or no verification, and misleading context that makes normal operational issues appear more serious than they are.
Airport officials said passengers should not rely on clickbait sites for travel updates and should instead check directly with their airline or Pearson’s official website for the latest flight information. Pearson says it is working with other airports in Canada and North America to address the problem and has contacted the outlets publishing the misleading content.
