Adani Enterprises shares climbed nearly 5% after its airport business said it had agreed to raise about 98.25 billion rupees, or $1 billion, from a group of global and domestic investors. The binding deal values Adani Airport Holdings at about $18 billion before the new money is added. The investors include Alpha Wave Global, Premji Invest, Temasek and BlackRockmanaged funds, and they will receive new shares in three stages, with the final tranche expected by July 2027. The company said the funds will help expand and modernize airport infrastructure, support Adani Airport City projects and grow nonaeronautical businesses such as ground handling. Adani Airport Holdings currently manages eight airports in India and says it handles more than 23% of the country’s passenger traffic.
