Lido Vote 214 Passes as Dual Governance Goes Live on Ethereum Mainnet

Lido DAO vote 214 brings Dual Governance to Ethereum mainnet Gain stronger stETH protections with a 14-day emergency delay now

Lido DAO vote 214 has passed, moving Dual Governance parameters onto Ethereum mainnet. The proposal received support from 58.2 million LDO tokens. The change is meant to give stETH holders a stronger way to challenge or delay certain governance actions. Instead of relying only on LDO token holders, the system adds a second layer of oversight for decisions that can affect users who have deposited ETH into the protocol. The vote also extends the emergency governance delay to 14 days. Lido says the longer window is intended to improve security by giving stakeholders more time to respond to disputed actions and making it harder to rush through controversial changes.
