Toronto police say a 28yearold Vaughan man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing at a residential building near Fairview Mall Drive and Don Mills Road in North York.
Officers responded shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Saturday to reports of a person with a knife. Police found a woman with stab wounds in a hallway inside the building, and she was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 29yearold Thi Nguyen of Toronto, who police say is the city’s 21st homicide victim this year. The suspect is facing charges including firstdegree murder and failure to comply with an undertaking, and was scheduled to appear in court on Sunday morning.
