Two children hospitalized after Burnaby collision

Two children are in hospital with serious injuries after a collision in Burnaby, British Columbia, on Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Burnaby RCMP said officers were called to Hastings Street near Delta Avenue at about 12:45 p.m. after a vehicle struck two pedestrians, an 11yearold boy and a nineyearold girl. The driver remained at the scene.
The RCMP's criminal collision investigation team is now handling the case and is asking witnesses or anyone with video from the area between 12:30 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. to come forward.
