BitMEX co-founder accounted for most Reform UK donations in Q2 2026

Ben Delo funds Reform UK with 4m pounds, driving most of its Q2 2026 funding Crypto donation scrutiny grows as Farage faces fresh questions and rules debate

Records from the UK Electoral Commission show that BitMEX cofounder Ben Delo supplied about threequarters of the money reported by Reform UK in the second quarter of 2026. His two April donations, totaling 4 million pounds, represented 74% of the party’s reported quarterly funding. The report comes amid broader scrutiny of political donations linked to people in the crypto industry. Reform UK leader Nigel Farage is already facing questions over separate donations and gifts tied to crypto figures, and lawmakers have discussed whether restrictions on crypto political donations should remain in place. Delo had also donated 5.3 million dollars to Reform UK in the first quarter of 2026. He was previously among BitMEX figures who pleaded guilty in the US to Bank Secrecy Act violations, and he later received a pardon from US President Donald Trump in March 2025.
