Iran said the latest U.S. strikes hit civilian infrastructure, including bridges and transport sites, as fighting with the United States and its allies spread across the Middle East.
The U.S. military said it carried out another wave of attacks on Iranian military targets, including air defenses, logistics assets and maritime capabilities. Iranian state media said the strikes killed and wounded civilians, though CNBC said it could not independently confirm those claims.
Iran also said its Revolutionary Guard targeted a U.S. command center in Syria’s alTanf region, while Kuwait reported damage to a power and water desalination station in an Iranian attack. Bahrain, Jordan and Qatar said they intercepted missiles or aerial attacks overnight.
The clashes come as a shortlived ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran showed signs of breaking down. President Donald Trump said the U.S. was “winning big” in Iran, while analysts warned the conflict could turn into a prolonged confrontation. Oil prices rose further on the heightened tensions.
