Four-alarm fire breaks out at Etobicoke waste facility

Toronto firefighters responded to a fouralarm blaze at a waste management facility on Disco Road in Etobicoke early Tuesday morning.
Crews arrived shortly before 4 a.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the building, with smoke drifting toward Highway 427 and possibly affecting driver visibility. Firefighters entered the structure and saw construction materials and insulation burning inside.
Part of the roof collapsed, but no one was inside at the time and no injuries were reported. Toronto Fire said the fouralarm response brought additional trucks and personnel to the scene, and the fire was later brought under control. The cause remains unknown, and officials said there were no signs the fire was suspicious.
