Malhotra, a former Canucks player, previously worked with Ryan Johnson at the Abbotsford Canucks in the American Hockey League, where the two won a Calder Cup in the 202425 season. His appointment also reunites him with former teammates Daniel and Henrik Sedin, who now hold senior hockey operations roles with the club.
