Vehicle crashes into London mall fitness studio, seven injured

Seven people were sent to hospital on Friday after a vehicle drove through an exterior wall of Sherwood Forest Mall in London, Ont., and into a GoodLife Fitness studio used for group classes. London police said the driver was also injured and taken to hospital. Paramedics reported five serious injuries and two minor injuries. Police Chief Thai Truong said charges are expected later in the day and added that investigators found no evidence of terrorism. London Health Sciences Centre briefly activated a code orange to prepare for multiple casualties. Emergency crews secured the damaged wall, and the vehicle will remain inside the building until the structure is assessed. Police asked the public to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
