OpenAI introduces GPT-6 Astra

OpenAI has announced GPT6 Astra, a new model the company says is its most capable and aligned to date. The model is being rolled out first to a limited number of organizations, with broader access planned over the next few days for ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users, as well as through the OpenAI API and cloud partners. The company says Astra improves performance in computer use, browsing, software engineering, science, and professional workflows. OpenAI also highlighted stronger results on several internal and public benchmarks, along with improvements in task handling, instructionfollowing, and reduced misalignment in its evaluations. OpenAI said Astra is designed to support more complex work such as document drafting, spreadsheet creation, software testing, and research assistance. The release also includes updated safety measures, especially in cybersecurityrelated uses, and availability includes standard API pricing plus a faster paid mode for developers.
