TSB deploys investigators after mid-air plane crash near Chilliwack Airport
Chilliwack plane collision: TSB investigates the mid-air crash near the airport See what investigators know so far and why no one was taken to hospital
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is sending investigators to Chilliwack, British Columbia, after two Cessna 172 aircraft collided in midair on Monday near Chilliwack Airport.
B.C. Emergency Health Services said five ambulances were dispatched to the area around Wolfe Road and Schweyey Road at about 5:15 p.m. PT. No patients were taken to hospital.
The TSB said its team is expected to arrive Tuesday afternoon to gather information and assess the crash. CBC News said it has also contacted the RCMP, Chilliwack Search and Rescue, and the airport for more details.
