Missing pug Munchy reunited with Vancouver family

Vancouver couple reunites with pug Munchy after Downtown Eastside disappearance Police and neighbours helped bring him home after nearly a week missing

A Vancouver couple has been reunited with their pug, Munchy, after he went missing for nearly a week in the city’s Downtown Eastside. Jessica and Warren Chen said the dog disappeared on April 20 after a visiting friend took him out without a leash or permission. The couple searched the area for days, putting up missingpet posters and asking for help from people in the neighbourhood and Vancouver police. Munchy was later spotted in Chinatown and then found near the Woodwards building on Abbott Street on April 25. Police kept watch until the Chens arrived, and the couple said the dog was excited to see them. They thanked the Downtown Eastside community, the store owner who helped alert them, and the officers who helped bring Munchy home.
