A fire at a highrise apartment building in Toronto left one person dead and another injured on Sunday morning.
Toronto Fire Services said crews were dispatched to 1420 Victoria Park Ave. at 1:58 a.m. after reports of a fire in one of the building's units. After putting out the flames, firefighters entered the unit and found one person inside, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second person was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Officials said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
