Raptors preseason loss in Quebec City ends win streak as defense slips Toronto fell 129-105 to Miami, but forced 25 turnovers and now heads home

The Toronto Raptors saw their sixgame win streak in Quebec end with a 129105 preseason loss to the Miami Heat on Saturday at Centre Vidéotron in Quebec City. The matchup was the first NBA game ever played in Quebec City and drew a sellout crowd of 18,474 as part of the NBA Canada Series. Toronto will play the Los Angeles Clippers in Vancouver on Oct. 10. Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic kept Kawhi Leonard out of the lineup because of an injury and said the team will not rush the star forward back. R.J. Barrett led Toronto with 15 points, while Tyreke Key also scored 15. For Miami, Tim Hardaway Jr. led the way with 14 points. Rajakovic said his team struggled offensively and needs to improve its defensive rebounding, but he was encouraged that the Raptors forced 25 turnovers. Toronto will continue training camp at home before heading to the West Coast next week.
