Guardoc Health uses Amazon Nova models for clinical document processing

Guardoc Health says it processes more than one million clinical documents each day using Amazon Nova models through Bedrock. The company builds documentation software for longterm care providers and says the system is designed to reduce errors in clinical records, compliance work, and reimbursementrelated documentation. The company says its pipeline handles a wide range of formats, including scanned PDFs, handwritten physician notes, prior authorization forms, medication lists, and patient intake documents. It also reports outcomes such as fewer documentation errors, lower audit fines, and faster review of highrisk cases, though it did not disclose the full methodology behind those figures. Guardoc’s approach combines several Amazon services in a staged workflow. Amazon Textract extracts text and structure from pages first, Amazon Titan Text Embeddings V2 and DynamoDB help organize and retrieve relevant chunks, and Amazon Nova 2 Lite filters obvious mismatches before Amazon Nova Pro performs final multimodal reasoning over the original document. The company says the design is intended to balance cost and accuracy while improving clinical documentation review.
