Aurora man charged after park drive-through in Ajax See how police say the Toyota crossed crowded paths and evaded arrest

A 23yearold Aurora man has been charged after police say he drove a white Toyota sedan through Rotary Park in Ajax while the area was crowded with pedestrians, including children, on July 18. Durham police said the vehicle passed through the playground, splash pad, and walking paths, then later returned to the park and crossed a pedestrian bridge on the waterfront trail before leaving again. Officers later located the car and attempted to stop it. According to police, the driver then collided with a GMC SUV while trying to evade arrest. No injuries were reported.
