Heated Rivalry leads Canadian Screen Awards with top drama wins
Canadian Screen Awards spotlight Heated Rivalry, North of North and top film wins See the season’s biggest TV and movie winners, plus Mike Myers’ Icon Award
The hockey drama Heated Rivalry was the biggest winner at Sunday’s Canadian Screen Awards in Toronto, taking home best drama series and best lead performer for Hudson Williams.
The series added to a strong showing from Saturday’s scripted television gala and finished the event with 16 Screen Awards in its first season. Another major winner, the Arctic sitcom North of North, earned best comedy series and best lead performer for Anna Lambe.
The film award went to Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie, which won best motion picture. The ceremony also honoured Mike Myers with the Icon Award, recognizing his long career and influence in Canada and beyond.
