Canada earned its first point at a men’s World Cup after a 11 draw with BosniaHerzegovina in Toronto on June 12, 2026.
BosniaHerzegovina opened the scoring in the first half, but Canada pushed forward after halftime and found the equalizer in the 78th minute. Substitute Cyle Larin scored from the top of the box after a buildup involving Ismael Koné and Promise David.
The result was a milestone for Canada’s men’s national team in front of more than 43,000 fans, many of them family and friends of the players. The team now moves on to its next groupstage match against Qatar on June 18 in Vancouver, with a chance to strengthen its position in the tournament.
